Our current work includes an historic restoration as well as a new mixed use riverfront complex. Our standards are very high; on a project that went out to bid this year, a contractor told us we provided the "best set of documents I've seen in my 40 years in the business". Another told us that our drawings "were a work of art".

Architect

We’re looking for a “heavy lifter” with a passion for being an architect. We offer partnership potential—looking for the next generation of our 3rd generation firm. We require outstanding AutoCAD skills (we currently use ADT 2006).

Being passionate about architecture isn’t enough. A lot of people like pretty buildings—we are looking for people who are passionate about the practice of architecture and all it entails.

	You must be registered—we need a qualified individual to represent us with clients.
	We have no room for prima donnas—we expect an architect to draw. We currently work in ADT 2006. You must have outstanding AutoCAD skills.
	Everyone loves to sketch ideas, but 90% of an architect’s drawings are DDs and CDs. You must be a good detailer.
	There is more to life than drawing—you must have experience in specifying, cost estimating, scheduling. You must have excellent Microsoft Office skills—Word, Excel, Access, Project.
	You must have a mastery of language and excellent and communication skills.
	We prefer to work in a collaborative, rather than a structured hierarchy. You must be a team player, self-motivated, and “play well with others”.
	We work in very close collaboration with our engineering consultants; you must have good engineering instincts. You must have a good working knowledge of engineering systems.
