Firm History

Since our inception, our work has focused on architecture in an urban setting.  Today our staff proudly continues this 37-year heritage of socially conscious design.

 

1969

The firm is founded as Earl Onqué, Architect, a sole proprietorship.

1970

The partnership of Onqué and Harai Architects is formed.

1987

The firm incorporates as Norman Y. Harai Associates, Inc.

1999

The corporation registers with the state as Klauscher and Harai Architects.

2002

The firm is renamed Klauscher Architects and moves to new offices in Bellevue.

Mayor Dick Caliguiri turns the first shovelful of earth

at the 1971 groundbreaking for Ebenezer Towers

senior high-rise in Pittsburgh's Hill District.
